Where your children will go to school
There are excellent public schools and private schools in Franklin. Franklin Special School District (FSSD), a pre-K through 8th grade city-run system, includes eight schools, including Franklin Elementary, Johnson Elementary, Liberty Elementary, Moore Elementary, Poplar Grove Elementary, Poplar Grove Middle, Freedom Intermediate and Freedom Middle.
After completing middle school, FSSD students may attend Williamson County high schools. Depending on where you live in the Franklin area, Williamson County also has many elementary and middle schools.
Both FSSD and Williamson County Schools are considered to be among the top school systems in the nation. Both are consistently recognized for excellence in education, including employing a significant number of teachers with advanced degrees, maintaining a low teacher-to-pupil ratio and having higher-than-state-average in spending per student.
